The Rada spirits of the Fon & the Ewe tribes of Dahomey ( modern day Benin) and the Nago spirits of Yorubaland ( modern day nigeria). The Ghede's propensity for dirty jokes mirror the foul-mouthed dead spirits of Arawak and Taino indians culture.
